Next month, construction will start on a new pedestrian/bicycle bridge which will link the area around Seattle Center with Myrtle Edwards Park/Olympic Sculpture Park.
The bridge will be part of a future bicycle route called the ‘Lake to Bay Loop’, which will eventually connect South Lake Union to the Seattle Waterfront.
The bridge will cost $10 million, and is being paid for with both public and private funds.
Work should be completed by this time next year.
