Construction has officially begun on the Pine Street Group’s “Sixth and Lenora” project. The project will consist of two 25-story towers (50 floors total), and will feature 654 rental units and 18,000 square feet of retail space.
This is the first new Downtown construction project in 3 1/2 years, and it is being closely watched as the potential endpoint for the local housing and condo recession. Once finished, Sixth and Lenora will become the highest-density residential neighborhood in the State of Washington.
Rents are anticipated to be $1,900 for a 700 square foot unit.
Drivers should exercise caution through the area, as lanes on adjacent streets will be closed off and on during construction.
