In a move that may affect the sleeping habits of some Pioneer Square residents, the Washington State Department of Transportation is requesting a variance that allows them to work through the night on the deep-bore tunnel that will replace the Alaskan Way Viaduct.
Before approving the request, the Seattle Department of Planning and Development will hold one public meeting to receive oral comments about the proposed variance.
The meeting will take placeWednesday, June 8, 2011 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m at the Ruth Fisher Boardroom in Union Station 401 S Jackson Street Seattle, WA 98104.
Written comments may also be submitted to DPD, but they must be received before June 8th, 2011.
