SAM’s new public art piece Mirror, will be unveiled on Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 5PM through 7:30PM. The unveiling will be held on First Avenue between Union and University, in front of Seattle Art Museum. Watch the fireworks at the Space Needle on Monday, December 31, 2012, 11:30pm – Tuesday, January 1, 2013, 12:10am. Event will include an “exclusion zone” under the Space Needle with temporary fencing. Working with SPD, Space Needle LLC will clear this zone of all pedestrians prior to the fireworks and then maintain the zone until the “all clear” SFMO. Pyro Spectacular will provide the fireworks. Today is the Grand Opening of The Seattle Great Wheel. They are scheduled to open from 4:00pm (delayed to 5pm) – 1:00am for today’s opening, and will be open 11am – midnight, Monday through Friday and 11am through 1am on weekends. Ticket prices will be $13.00 for adults (age 12+) and $8.50 for children (12 years and under).
