Entertainment and activities include Seattle Symphony in concert, exhibits, mobile food vendors and more. Most events will be free of charge.

Westlake Family Fun Day will be held in Westlake Park (401 Pine St) today from 11:30am – 2pm and is free of charge. It will include the Seattle Children’s Science Adventure Lab (45 ft mobile science lab), a bouncy house, live music with The Bears Upstairs, and Morgan Taylor of Gustafer Yellowgold, sidewalk art, face painting, and the Seattle Met photo booth.
This event hopes to gain support to build the Westlake Park Kids’ Play Area.

Glee Flash Mobs will happen at 2pm, 3pm, and 4pm (approximately) at various locations downtown and Capitol Hill.
Broadway E will be closed to traffic between E Harrison St and E Republican Street for a few minutes during a Glee Flash Mob dance.

Party in the Park is tonight from 8pm to 11:59pm at PACCAR Pavilion in the Olympic Sculpture Park, sponsored by Seattle Art Museum. Tickets are $75 per person (21 years and older), which includes food and entertainment. All funds will benefit SAM’s outreach and educational programs, including those at the Olympic Sculpture Park.

On Saturday, the Seattle International Dance Festival kicked off with an event called ”Art on the Fly”.
Art on the Fly is a collection of ultra-diverse dance pieces performed at three different stations along the Seattle Streetcar line.

Today, the International Dance Festival kicks off with Art on the Fly. You can ride the Seattle Streetcar through Downtown and South Lake Union, and enjoy various live dance performances at the various stops along the way. The dancers will be performing from 12pm to 6pm today. Performances will include a dysfunctional dance circus sideshow, postmodern stilt walkers, a Geisha Beach Party, giant puppet shows, and many more fun events for adults and children alike.

After playing two other locations in the city (Georgetown and Gas Works Park), Honkfest 2011 will end this year’s run at Seattle Center.
The bands are slated to perform in the Sky Church at the Experience Music Project between 2pm and 3pm on Sunday May 15th. Afterwards, they will move out onto the grounds of Seattle Center for more performances.
Check it out, it looks like fun.
HONK! Fest West returns to Seattle for its fourth year, May 13-15! A traveling festival, HONK! this year is excited to visit Georgetown on Friday, May 13; Gasworks on Saturday, May 14; and Seattle Center on Sunday, May 15.
HONK! Fest West is a free, three-day, community-supported music festival devoted to marching bands, drum corps, samba lines, and anything acoustic and mobile that makes a ruckus. We are also partial to street performers, dancers, and artistic appreciators.
